LDM (m):
A Full Truck Load, also known as a Full Trailer Load, is a type of transportation where the entire trailer is filled with just one piece of cargo. If your production line has the flexibility to wait for your shipment to be filled, and your company is able to gather enough goods to fill an entire trailer, shipping FTL can offer cost and time savings compared to Less Than Truck Load (LTL) options.
LTL allows multiple consignors to share space on the same truck, making it a more cost-effective solution for smaller shipments. If your cargo weighs less than 15 tons, LTL might be the right choice for you.
For smaller shipments weighing up to 1.5 tons, express delivery can get your cargo to its destination the same day or the next day using smaller trucks. For larger shipments, two-driver tractor units can provide express delivery options.
Hazardous substances, also known as ADR goods, are subject to special transportation rules. Shipping rates for ADR goods are typically higher than for other types of cargo. There are 9 classes of ADR goods:
- Class 1: Explosive substances and items
- Class 2: Gases
- Class 3: Flammable liquids
- Class 4: Combustibles
- Class 5: Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides
- Class 6: Toxic and infectious substances
- Class 7: Radioactive materials
- Class 8: Corrosive substances
- Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous substances and items
